Carlos M. Duque is an attorney and founding partner of Duque & Hammond, P.A. Mr. Duque concentrates his practice on the representation of foreigners who have been placed in deportation or removal proceedings before an Immigration Judge. Mr. Duque also represents foreigners who have been detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement or by Customs and Border Protection. Mr. Duque graduated with honors from NOVA Southeastern University (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), and from the law school at the Universidad del Rosario (Bogotá, Colombia). Mr. Duque was admitted to the Colombia Bar in 2002 and to Florida Bar in 2007. He is currently the Vice chairman of the Immigration Committee of the Dade county Bar.
Jeffrey C. Hammond is an attorney and founding partner of Duque & Hammond, P.A. Mr. Hammond focuses his practice exclusively on immigration law, primarily in the areas of employment-based immigration, family-based immigration, and consular processing. He regularly represents corporations and individuals, helping them obtain nonimmigrant and immigrant visas. Mr. Hammond served as an advisor to United States Congressman Chris Cannon on immigration policy while serving as a member of the Congressman's Immigration Advisory Counsel, one of only two immigration attorneys invited to participate. He is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Mr. Hammond earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and his Juris Doctorate from George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia. Mr. Hammond lived for two years in the Dominican Republic where he learned to speak fluent Spanish.
